What is lifestyle medicine?
“Lifestyle medicine is a discipline that considers the socioeconomic drivers of behaviour, acknowledges the difficulties people face, and uses person centred techniques to support lifestyle changes to tackle nutrition, physical activity, social isolation, sleep, mental wellbeing, and consumption of harmful substances such as tobacco and alcohol.”
About me
My name is Dr Rachel Hall. I have been a GP for 9 years having graduated from Oxford in 2011. Prior to this I studied biochemistry at Cambridge reading genetics, molecular medicine and nutrition.
I work as a GP Partner in Cheshire and in my ‘spare time’ I am a mum, runner and health enthusiast. I understand how busy life can be. It can be difficult to stay healthy and happy with all that life can throw at you.
I hope you find what you are looking for and we can work together to build a healthier, happier you.
Dr Rachel Hall | MBCHB Oxon, MA Cantab, MSc, MRCGP, MRCP, IBLM
How I can help
Medical appointments often focus on treating the symptoms of an illness rather than identifying the cause. By spending more time exploring your individual situation, focusing on the way you live, eat, move, and sleep and on your emotional well-being, we can work together to improve your overall health, reduce the risk of chronic illness and improve or reverse long-term conditions - often without the need for medication.
